This Privacy Policy explains how Jyotirmay processes personal data. Jyotirmay is owned and operated by Mbox Contract Solutions Pvt Ltd. (the "Data Fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023).
1) What we store vs what we do not store
We store (for service continuity):

Your personality inventory responses
We do not store (in Jyotirmay's core service):
Your name
Your phone number
Your daily check-in inputs (we use them to generate guidance and then discard the raw inputs)
Note on payments: Payment gateways/banks may collect payer details as part of payment processing. We keep only what is needed for transaction support and legal compliance.
2) What we collect automatically
We collect limited technical information (device/browser type, IP address, timestamps, security/diagnostic logs) to keep the platform secure and reliable.
3) Why we process your data
We process personal data to:
Run Jyotirmay calculations and generate outputs Maintain your account and credit balance Process credit purchases and optional Auto Top-Up
Provide customer support
Prevent fraud/abuse and maintain security Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
4) Consent and your choices
We rely primarily on your consent (given through clear action such as submitting details, purchasing credits, enabling Auto Top-Up). You may withdraw consent, but some features may stop working.
5) Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us run Jyotirmay (hosting, payment processing, email delivery, security monitoring) and with authorities if required by law. We do not sell personal data.
6) Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for service delivery and legal compliance. Birth details + personality inventory: while your account is active, or until you request erasure (subject to lawful retention needs) Daily check-ins: raw inputs are not stored
